3 Ways to Read
We are learning that there are 3 Ways to Read. We had a go at the first way to read.
1. Read the Pictures.
Look After Others - Co-operative Learning
Manaakitia tenei whanau - We are family in Kowhai Toru and we are learning to work with a buddy using the ipad for learning during reading, writing and math time.
Te Reo with Matua Victor
Kia ora Matua Victor. Kowhai Toru are learning how to greet each other using Te Reo Maori.
They need to know that:
Tena koe - means - Hello to one person
Tena korua - means - Hello to two people
Tena koutou - means - Hello to three or more people

Developing a Mathematics Inquiry Community in Kowhai Toru
We are learning to work with a buddy to solve math problems.
Here we are showing that we can share, take turns and use encouraging words because we are whanau in Kowhai Toru.

Great Start!
Adnan likes to be independent in Kowhai Toru. Adnan says, "I can do it all by myself."
Amisha helps the teacher when she is 'Star of the Day'.
Salim comes straight into class before school. He likes to read the Iron Man story book.
